Diamond Life (1984) is Sade's debut album, featuring the singles "Your Love Is King", "When Am I Going To Make A Living", "Smooth Operator", and "Hang On To Your Love". The album was recorded at Power Plant Studios (England). The vinyl audio uses high resolution digital transfers of the stereo master mixes, from the original studio recordings, remastered at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios. The elaborate, half-speed mastering process has produced exceptionally clean and detailed audio whilst remaining faithful to the band's intended sound. No additional digital limiting was used in the mastering process, so the album benefits from the advantage of extra clarity and pure fidelity, preserving the dynamic range of the original mixes, presented on pure 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl. The original album sleeve and packaging elements have been meticulously reproduced in exact detail with authentic paper and printing methods.

Essix JacksonDecember 4, 2024Diamondlife, what can i say. I was 11 when i came out in (83/84). I watched Smooth Operator on Video Soul on BET and was INSTANTLY hooked. The following day after school, i rode my bike 40 minutes to the local mall and bought the album (which i still have) with a pocket full of quarters. I spent the next 2 days in my room listening to that album. Following aside from attending all of their concerts in Los Angeles (my home) i have NOT stopped listening to that album as well as Promise, Stronger, Love Deluxe and ETC. Hypnotic, uplifting, mesmerizing, not enough in the vocabulary to put into a simple explanation. I will always be a forever Sade fan !!!!!

John SlaughterJune 24, 2024Beautiful. Just beautiful. Flawless sound on my high end stereo (not brag!) Worked in a Record Bar in the 80s and I , although a Led Zeppelin head, was the no 1 Sade fan of all the employees, so i got all the posters, demos and early releases. No one smoother or more beautiful than Sade.
